Before I met you, I didn’t think I would be lucky enough to ever have something like what you’ve given me.

In fact, I was starting to doubt that even existed, seeing as almost every relationship I’ve ever seen hasn’t worked out the way I think it should. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen anything that qualifies as ‘true love.’

A year ago, I was completely fixated on my absolute fear of loneliness. I wasn’t desperate to be in relationship; only proof that one could work. I would cry myself to sleep almost every night, thinking it was impossible.

But now, 8 months later, you’ve proven me wrong. You’ve given me hope. We may not be together forever, but that doesn’t matter. You’ll always be my first love, always be the first to have shown me what it’s like to be loved and cared for by someone else.
